Push Strong
In a landscape carved from endurance and shadow, the women of Bosnia and Herzegovina stand resolute. Their faces are weathered with the deep wisdom of survival; one embodies visible resistance, the other turns inward, a portrait of quiet, unyielding resolve. Above them, the words pulse: “PUSH STRONG FOR A CHANGE.” It is an active command, not a suggestion. A powerful hand descends from the monochrome sky, lifting a figure struggling through jagged mountains, a testament to the backbreaking labor of rebuilding. Past violence lingers as a jagged orange lightning bolt, fracturing the air.
Yet, they move forward. A ghostly mechanical horse, marked STRONG, carries the heavy memory of conflict, animated solely by the women’s fierce determination to rise from the rubble. Though time marches on a stark, unmarked calendar, hope flickers from a delicate blue bird perched nearby. This fragile messenger insists on the promise of peace, alerting everyone that “High in the great mountains there’s a gate.” This is their story of quiet fortitude: women bearing the weight of the future, pushing strong, every day, toward the change they deserve.
