Last Sip Before Hibernation

The world divides itself into stark realities. Above, a fragmented, futuristic city rises against a star-dusted night sky, the memory of human effort framed by red poppies and stark birch branches.

To the left, a giant, exposed face cries out, the black-and-white mask of human emotion, regret, and experience stretching across a desolate plain. A small, vulnerable figure walks away, heading toward a dark horizon, while the face watches from its wall of memory.

But the real world is the glade where the forest prepares for its long sleep.
In the center, a massive bear sits, the Queen of Hibernation, her chest a shield of warm, dark fur, her consciousness already pulled inward toward the long, dreaming dark. She is the guardian of the threshold.

To the right, a solitary figure, silhouetted in soft shadow, takes her last sip of cold, crystal water. The stream flows from a mossy waterfall, carrying the last vestiges of the sunlit, external world. She stands at the deepest point of transition, ready to follow the bear into the quiet, nourishing dark. The poppies are the final farewell; the water is the last conscious sensation. She steps forward to embrace silence and introspection.
