Time’s Up
The world has stopped, yet the observer does not rest. An epic woman lies in serene surrender, wrapped in stillness, a small label on her blanket bearing the only command: “SLEEP.” She is absorbed in regenerative darkness, untouched by the movement, or judgment, around her.
Across the composition, the phrase “TIME’S UP” anchors the scene like a final decree. It signals a necessary pause, the instant when the sleeper’s internal energy, a radiant orange sun glowing at the center, silences the tyranny of the external clock.
Above her stands the Judge, a black-clad woman with bright white hair, the keeper of time, the embodiment of discipline and drive. Her outstretched arm is not a warning but a weary gesture of release, conceding that even ambition must yield to rest. In her other hand, she hold a cane, ready to poke the cord of consciousness and trigger the descent into renewal.
Below, another figure drifts in a watery blur, already surrendered to the dream. And at the bottom, a quiet line of sheep waits patiently to be counted, a tender reminder that rest is not failure, but return: a cyclical surrender to the natural rhythm that restores all things when time itself runs out.
